Sustainable Fashion Night - clothes swap!
Time & Location
About the Event
Since we had such a great turn out last time, we decided to take over the whole Love Shack for this next event. That means that the venue will be open exclusively to all you swappers! Because we’ll be given exclusive use of the space, this clothes swap will be ticketed to cover the rental costs. Tickets will be only a tenner, and for each ticket sold, 4 pounds will be donated directly to Crisis homeless charity
Whereas the last fashion sustainability events took place during Sunday daytime, this time we decided on a night swap to give you guys a full clothes swap experience, with live music and a customised cocktail menu – come and try our Mini Skirt Martini for example! And to keep you busy swapping all night long, we’ll be releasing a new bunch of pre-loved clothes every hour!
Fashion designer Margaret Grebosz will again be hosting a repair station where she'll show you how to up-cycle and repair your items. Susan McCabe will teach you how to turn your old knitted jumpers into funky bags, so bring all those jumpers you know you’ll never wear again. More workshops and activities will be announced soon!
We’ll be sending out an email with the final program and information before the event.
A few last bits regarding the actual swap:
- For every item you bring you get a token in return that allows you to take another item home.
- Items should be in a reasonable state and clean, otherwise they won’t be accepted.
- There is no max or min of clothes you can bring, but if you bring more than 10 items you only get a max of 10 tokens in return. Hope to see you all there!Peace, love and sustainability!
