Hailing from the township of Bophelong in Gauteng, South Africa 🇿🇦 SNO grew up during apartheid, and has always seen music as a beacon of strength and hope for the marginalised.  

An NTS Radio resident, SNO's exceptional knowledge of African music has earned praise from giants such as Tony Allen 🇳🇬 Kanda Bongo Man 🇨🇩 Ebo Taylor and Pat Thomas 🇬🇭 and Amadou & Mariam 🇲🇱  On the festival circuit, she's graced Dimensions, Houghton, We Out Here, Meadows in the Mountains, and more – sharing stages with the likes of Gilles Peterson, Awesome Tapes from Africa, Midland, Azymuth and fellow Manchester resident (and big fan) Mr Scruff.
